Improved version of Golden Ring (not published here). Inspired by The Lord of the Rings and Tolkien's work, but not using any picture from the movie or anything else, just some Elvish script. This new version has a better and smoother 3D-look, mikroAMP skinned and custom cursors, and some other changes, I hope you like the golden colour and enjoy this skin (I am really in love with it).
Some subtle bugs fixed and an avs preset added (refer to the readme.txt in preferences|skins)

Daily Deviation, 2002-04-09

Golden Ring v2 by jellby is quite the original skin. I really like the old Roman feel this skin has to it. The colour scheme is quite bright , yes, but that is the point. I really like the subtle 3d elements that the skin has also. Check it out! (Selected by +brazensix) (Featured by `brazensix)

"nice" skin... the vis and the songname area etc. are too much blured!
all in all i would say that the skin needs some work to call it finished!

yeah, aside from the blurry edges, this would make my eyes bleed after awhile of using it....

i hope i don't sound shitty, but i have a question which concerns your skin in particular and devart's DD in general:

how can your skin (with 0 favs, 6 comments and 3 votes) become DD ? is the DD purely at the discretion of admins who chose it, or is there a mystical counter that is so obvious that i'm missing it ?

as i said, i hope i don't sound like i'm slagging your work off...it's just that it hit me that usually DDs have like 100+ comments etc

I was much surprised too! (you can see that when it was selected as Daily Deviation, it had only 1 comment, no votes and ~10 downloads) I would like to think that it was chosen because it's good ;) (Wink)

Anyway, the help says:

Daily Deviation: is an honor the staff gives to one of the hundreds of Deviations, less Poetry, Skins and Themes [it seems that now there is a single category], they pore over during the day that catches their eye as an outstanding work deserving of recognition. Staff may decide on a brand new piece or a work they noticed days before that still deserves recognition.

I guess the bright golden colour "catched someone's eye".

Well its nice but, is it DD material? I think that it would be much more easier to use if it wouldnt be soooo bright! But the elvish font is cool tough :) (Smile)
